As we approach August 21, the date of our first in-person fundraising event to support Tyler's foundation, I can't help but find myself still wallowing in disbelief. It's a struggle to realize that behind all the incredible support and generosity of our family, friends, community and corporate sponsors that there is a reason we have all come together. That reason, is that Tyler is no longer here, on Earth, that is. One of the most basic yet difficult concepts to grasp in this world, is that I should only focus what's within my control and let go of what is beyond. I can't control that Tyler is no longer living here with us, but I can assist others in continuing to remember his smile, humor, and zeal for life, because that is still in OUR control.
For this reason, I want to humbly and graciously thank all the wonderful businesses that have so generously supported our efforts in sharing Tyler's legacy thus far with the world. We are profoundly moved by so many giving people and this is just the beginning. We will be blogging about the tournament throughout the next few weeks and sharing our successes. Please know we could not do this alone!
