Happy Birthday

Today is Tyler's first heavenly birthday! I want to share all the wonderful things we did this past weekend to celebrate him and this special day. I was planning to say that all of our recent accomplishments are our birthday gifts to him, but after reflecting on it, I realized our accomplishments are actually because of the gifts he left us.

The golf tournament was an incredible success! We were blessed with a beautiful day full of beautiful, generous, empathetic, loving people! Our three speakers, memorialized Tyler with passion, charisma and emotion.

ELCO High School Athletics was awarded a $3000 scholarship opportunity for a 2022 Senior graduate that participates in at least one Varsity sport. The student will be chosen through a blind-essay contest, by members of the foundation board. (Pictured Speaker- Robert Miller, ELCO Head Football Coach)

Bloomsburg University was awarded a $10,000 check to honor Tyler in a meaningful way while memorializing the impact he had on his friends, teammates,

athletics, and the University.

The Tyler J. Horst Nutritional Stop in Nelson Field House will be built in which all Bloomsburg student-athletes can remain hydrated, grab nutritional snacks, and support their overall wellness. The area will be stocked with options for student-athletes to make healthy decisions prior to and post practice. A Virtual Endowment Fund has also been established which will build over 5 years and lead to a lifetime scholarship fund honoring Tyler for an eligible Bloomsburg football athlete. Tyler had a lifetime commitment to become a Navy SEAL.

We humbly gave a $15,000 check to Rich and Carri Lamoureux who attended the tournament as representative of the Navy SEAL Foundation. Thank you for your 30 years of service as a Navy SEAL, Rich! We are proud supporters of the Navy SEAL Foundation.

Finally, please take a few moments and visit our homepage which has a very special video that we created to honor Tyler and explain our vision behind this foundation.

Thank you all.
